Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking qualified nursing staff for Portage Regional Health Centre. The role involves working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in a diverse community setting.

Applicants must hold active registration with the Manitoba health-profession college, BLS and ACLS, CTAS, TNCC, and relevant orientation programs. Travel to regional facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Provincial Emergency Department Orientation or equivalent.
• Safe Patient Handling Program (SPHP) & Violence Prevention Program (VPP) and any other courses that are mandatory for the area being worked in.
• Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses and the RHPA-scope of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health-Healthy Living, Home Care, Oncology/Cancer Care).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.
• Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.
