Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority invites applications for a temporary, part-time nursing role at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. The position is 0.70 FTE, in-person, with daily hours reflective of a 11.625-hour day and start-end dates as mutually agreed, potentially up to 2027-11-07.

Licensed RNs or RPNs with RHPA scope and BLS certification are required; travel to regional facilities may be needed. The incumbent will work within Southern Health-Santé Sud, delivering patient-centered care,

Qualifications

  • Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses and RHPA scope.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel to regional facilities as duties require.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred nursing care within a team-based setting.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality care and improvements.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and professional growth.
  • Be adaptable to shift patterns including evenings and weekends when needed.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Safe Patient Handling Program (SPHP) & Violence Prevention Program (VPP) and any other courses that are mandatory for the area being worked in.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health‐Healthy Living, Home Care, Oncology/Cancer Care).
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
  • May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
