Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic emergency department setting. The role emphasizes safe, patient- and family-centered care with emphasis on critical thinking and collaboration across teams.

Provisional permit holders are paid $40.76–$55.79 per hour, with adjustments upon full registration; UNA contract applies and postings end 06-NOV-2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

The city of Grande Prairie is located in northwest Alberta and has something for everyone! We are a growing city with close to 70,000 residents. The GPRH Emergency Department consists of a 4 Trauma bays, 7 treatment stretchers, 11 cardiac monitored stretchers and 1 seclusion room. Our team provides exemplary emergency room care for patients in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play an important role in supporting and integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will contribute your nursing assessment, interpersonal and written documentation skills to assist with the treatment of trauma-associated injury. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:
