Job summary

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Registered Nurse (Donor Centre Nurse) to join the BC-Victoria donor centre and mobiles. You will support collection activities, ensure donor safety, and provide excellent donor experiences.

You will apply phlebotomy skills, educate donors, and coach staff while maintaining compliant records and participating in mobile events as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program and current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province is required.
• 2 years of experience working as a nurse is considered an asset as is a certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide donor centre nursing care and venipuncture following established standards.
• Coach and mentor donor centre staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate records across multiple systems for screening, collection, and post-donation care.
• Assist in mobile events and set up donor clinics in communities.
• Ensure donor safety and provide post-donation instructions and care.
