Job summary

New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP), often described as the “hospital without walls,” coordinates care in patients' homes and communities to reduce hospital admissions and enhance satisfaction with care. Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB).
• Minimum of two years in the last five years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology.
• Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
• CPR Level C certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work efficiently as a team member with leadership and coaching skills, sound judgment and decision making.
• Able to work all shifts as assigned and maintain good attendance.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ability to pass criminal record check.

JOB SUMMARY

To holistically coordinate the care of each patient, incorporating the nursing profession's values of knowledge, theory and practice. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients and significant others in the delivery of care and collaborate with all members of the interdisciplinary team in this approach.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing;
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB);
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in the areas of family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology in a patient unit that requires daily collaboration with various health disciplines and family members as part of reaching patient goals;
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.
