The Cancer Care Clinic is located in one department at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The Cancer Clinic services the benign outpatient population requiring infusion services, including blood product transfusions, intravenous medications (such as antibiotics, electrolytes, and cytotoxic medications), and other procedures like phlebotomies. You will be providing care largely to patients requiring chronic disease management.

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
BCLS certification required at the time of hire.
Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
Current Chemotherapy certification required.
Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience with Cytotoxic and/or Biologics Administration in an outpatient setting.
Strong understanding of outpatient clinic processes and flow.
Central Venous Access Device certification or equivalent.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong knowledge of policy and practice standards.
Demonstrable critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage emotionally charged situations in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of CANO standards for Oncology Nursing.
CANO membership is an asset.
Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days; 10-hour shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs).
Salary: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour.
