Rotation/Shifts

Days, including weekends, 8 and 12-hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

  • Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of three (3) months of recent acute care experience
  • Recent Medical/Surgical experience
  • BCLS/CPR certification
  • Critical Thinking skills
  • Theoretical knowledge of the nursing process related to Medicine/Surgery patients and ability to apply in a clinical setting
  • Theoretical knowledge of caring for patients with acute/chronic kidney disease
  • Teaching, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional and respectful attitude towards patients, the public, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
  • Commitment to ongoing personal education
  • Understanding of and participation in the evaluation process
  • Adherence to Hospital Policies and Procedures
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Nursing degree
  • Hemodialysis experience
  • Nephrology certification
  • Proficiency in English and French (advanced level) in oral and comprehension skills
