Job summary

AdventHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will deliver comprehensive patient care in a collaborative hospital setting, with opportunities for professional growth through our Clinical Ladder program.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, medication administration, patient and family education, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 1+ acute care hospital setting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, and regularly evaluate and revise these plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care and ensure effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and interventions, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care as appropriate to the healthcare team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly with necessary interventions.
