Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Inpatient Medicine Unit, 14 East (Stroke & Medicine). The role is part-time with rotating 12-hour day/night/weekend shifts at the Wilson site. The hourly rate ranges from $41.15 to $58.98, with ONA union representation.

Responsibilities include care planning and coordination, documentation in computerized systems, and mentorship of new hires. Ontario RN registration and BCLS are required or to be obtained within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification or plan to obtain within 3 months of start.
• 2 years acute medical/surgical inpatient experience preferred.
• Demonstrated patient assessment skills (Advance Physical Assessment).
• Excellent organizational, priority setting, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong patient/family teaching and family-centered care.
• Multidisciplinary teamwork and effective communication.
• Proficiency with hospital computer systems.

Right now we are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our Acute Inpatient Medicine Unit, 14 East - Stroke & Medicine.

Reporting Relationship: Manager of 14 East
Hourly Rate: $41.15 - $58.98

Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, days/nights/weekends

• 2 years acute medical/surgical Inpatient experience preferred .
• Demonstrated patient assessment skills (Advance Physical Assessment)
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities, sound problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
• Excellent patient/family teaching skills and an ability to promote family centered care.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
• Computer skills required.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
