Job summary

Humber River Health in Toronto is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9 West Medicine Unit on a permanent part-time basis. The role involves RN responsibilities for general medicine, care planning, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

You will document patient care using computerized systems, participate in project teams or hospital committees, and support preceptorship of nursing students. Shifts are rotating days/nights/weekends with an hourly rate of $41.15–$58.98.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience preferred.

Right now we are looking for a Registered Nurseto work with our9 West Medicine Unit.

Employment Status: Permanent Part-time

Reporting Relationship: Manager, 9 East & West, Medicine & Nephrology

Hourly Rate: $41.15 - $58.98

Union Group: ONA

Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, days/nights/weekends

Location: Humber River Health, Wilson site

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preceptorship of nursing students.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification (Registered Nurses currently employed by HRH are exempted).
  • 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience preferred.
  • Demonstration of critical thinking and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated good patient assessment skills. Patient assessment course preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
