Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unit 22, an acute inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry Unit in Red Deer. You will care for a complex, unstable patient population and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care.

The role offers growth into the developing cardiac program, including CCU opportunities and ongoing professional development. The position requires an accredited nursing program completion, active or eligible CRNA registration, and BCLS-HCP

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• Experience with Telemetry.
• Experience on Cardiology and/or CCU.

Unit 22 is an acute inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry Unit where a candidate with experience and skill can manage a population of complex, unpredictable, and unstable patients. The preferred Registered Nurse (RN) for this unit is one who has a strong interest in patients requiring cardiac-related nursing care and who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide family-focused care. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
