Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Fairview is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across acute, emergency and outpatient settings at the Fairview Health Complex. The role supports patient safety, uses nursing processes, and works in a leadership capacity to promote holistic care.

Provisional Permit holders earn $40.76 to $55.79/hour; upon full permit, pay aligns with UNA scales. This Regular Part Time, 0.50 FTE position includes a retention allowance and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations.
• Utilize nursing processes with critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
• Teach, counsel and advocate for patients and families and support integrated holistic patient care.

Job description

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.
