Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an MRI Technologist to support clinical and research MRI services in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient care, safety screening, consent, and coordination of daily MRI cases.

The incumbent will perform diverse MRI examinations, assist residents and fellows, and contribute to documentation and equipment maintenance, in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Care of patients within the department
• Collects records and verifies patient clinical history and MRI safety screening information
• Obtains informed consent when required
• Performs a variety of MRI examinations (Clinical and Research)
• Coordinates daily work schedule, prioritizes and arranges emergency/add on cases as required
• Delivers quality patient care, including IV insertion with administration of contrast medium
• Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as required
• Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures
• Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required

Responsibilities
