Urban Retreat Massage Therapy Ltd in Halifax, NS is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) for a full-time, on-site position. The role offers a permanent contract with morning, day and evening shifts and a wage of 32.00 CAD per hour for a 35-hour work week.

The ideal candidate has college-level massage therapy education, provincial certification, and 2–3 years of experience. Responsibilities include performing massage, explaining procedures, maintaining records, and advising on home care.

TASKS

• Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations
• Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
• Maintain records of treatments given
• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
• Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques
