Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Massage Therapist located in Edmonton, AB. The Registered Massage Therapist will provide client-centered therapeutic massage treatments using a variety of modalities aligned with Pure Wellness’ treatment philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client intake and assessments, developing and documenting treatment plans, and delivering safe, effective massage sessions that address stress, pain, and mobility issues. The role involves educating clients on self-care, rehabilitation exercises, and wellness strategies, while collaborating with other wellness professionals within the studio. The therapist will also maintain a clean, organized treatment space, manage appointment schedules, and uphold professional standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic massage techniques, including body massage and stress management.
• Ability to provide specialized therapeutic massage services, such as Shiatsu or related modalities, to meet diverse client needs.
• Strong customer service skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Graduation from an accredited massage therapy program and current registration/licensure in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body in Alberta.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage, with a commitment to safe, evidence-informed practice.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain treatment plans and health information in clear, accessible language.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary wellness team and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on client and studio needs.
• Experience in wellness, fitness, or rehabilitation settings is an asset.
