Job summary

The Township of Russell in Ontario is seeking motivated individuals for Registered Early Childhood Educator roles in our Before and After School Program across St-Jean/La Croisée, Saint-Joseph, and St. Mother Teresa Daycares.

As RECEs you will deliver an educational program, supporting children's development, health, security and well-being, while ensuring professional management of daily programming in a part-time capacity.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Early Childhood Education or in the process of obtaining an equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship program.
• Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario.
• Valid and Negative Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector (within six months).
• Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an educational program geared toward children's development, health, security and well-being.
• Ensure professional and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service.

Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) Part-Time Positions

The Township is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals for the positions of Registered Early Childhood Educators in our Before and After School Program at the St-Jean/La Croisée, Saint- Joseph, and St. Mother Teresa Daycares.

The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) reports to the Daycare Supervisor and will be responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children's development, their health, their security and their well-being. This position ensures professional and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service.

• College diploma in Early Childhood Education or in the process of obtaining an equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship program;
• Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario;
• Valid and Negative Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector (within six months);

Language Requirements

• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written French (Saint-Joseph and St-Jean/La Croisée);
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English (St. Mother Teresa);
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Compensation

The salary is between $27.12/hour and $30.52/hour and includes pension plan, as well as free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.
