Job summary

BrightPath Leslieville Centre is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our caring team. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care.

As part of a diverse community, you’ll develop programs in line with BrightPath’s curriculum, ensure children's safety, collaborate with families, and participate in meetings and professional development. This role features a daytime schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RECE in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children.
• Assessing abilities, interests, and needs of children and discussing progress with parents and staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) - must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
