Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Oakville, ON is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team and work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care.

You will develop and implement developmentally appropriate programs, maintain a safe, healthy environment, assess each child’s needs, and engage with parents and staff to discuss progress. We value collaboration and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) – must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
