Specifics about the role:

• Job Type: Part Time
• Schedule: Thursdays 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm
• Wage Range: $55.00-$60.00

Academy Dental is located in a charming historic home in Victoria, BC. We provide state-of-the-art care in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our clinic focuses on the KOIS principle, emphasizing evidence-based dentistry, advanced treatment planning, and a commitment to comprehensive patient care.

What you’ll do:

• Performing a full range of clinical hygiene services—including scaling, root planning, polishing, and applying topical fluoride—with precision and care.
• Assessing and case typing patients in alignment with clinical protocols to ensure appropriate and personalized care plans.
• Acting as an oral health educator, guiding patients toward healthy habits and long-term preventative care strategies.
• Building strong and trusting patient relationships through every interaction—your positive attitude and professionalism will shine.
• Creating a tailored experience for each patient based on their unique needs, expectations, and goals.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Completion of a recognized Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
• Registered Dental Hygienist status in good standing in British Columbia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, you’re as good at explaining care as you are at providing it.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, you’re comfortable managing a busy schedule with ease.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit clinical team.
• Comfort with dental software systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience is a bonus!
