Job summary

Dentistry on Lawrence in Kitchener, Ontario seeks a Registered Dental Hygienist to join its patient-centered team. The RDH will provide comprehensive hygiene care, educate patients, and help maintain a welcoming experience.

Candidates must be in good standing with the CDHO, hold an accredited dental hygiene program, and maintain CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication and infection control are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including assessments, scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Perform periodontal evaluations and document findings accurately.
• Take digital radiographs according to practice protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans.
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures (IPAC compliance).
• Collaborate closely with dentists and the clinical team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient charts using Tracker.
• Ensure operatory cleanliness, organization, and readiness for each patient.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive patient experience at every visit.
