Job summary

Tower Dental Clinic in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to join our family-oriented general practice offering cosmetic and preventive dentistry.

You will prepare rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, manage charts, and support scheduling while upholding IPAC standards and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body required.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Tuesday: 9 am - 5 pm

Wednesday: 11 am - 7 pm

Thursday: 9 am - 5 pm

Friday: 9 am - 5 pm

Alternating Saturdays: 9 am - 5 pm

Your Role:

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X‑rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
