Coaldale Dental Centre in Coaldale, Alberta, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. This full-time/part-time role supports two local dentists and focuses on friendly, detail-oriented patient care in a well-established practice with great patients.

The ideal candidate has a certificate from an accredited dental assistant program and 1–2 years of experience; duties include assisting during procedures, sterilization, x-ray exposure, and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program is required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Dental Assisting: 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist, set up equipment, prepare patient for treatment, and keep records.
• Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up trays, and assist during procedures.
• Record treatment information in patient records and expose dental radiographs.
• Take patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Assist in management of medical or dental emergencies and provide postoperative instructions.
• Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.

Coaldale Dental Centre is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. This position is flexible - We require a full-time or part-time employee to work along side 2 Local established Female Dentists. Candidate should be friendly, hard-working, detail-orientated and driven. You would be joining a well established practice with great patients.

Job Summary

Assist dentist, set up equipment, prepare patient for treatment, and keep records.

General Responsibilities

• Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Expose dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Take and record patient's medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
• Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
• Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.
• Fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions.
• Take impressions for study models and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
• Pour, trim, and polish casts.
• Clean and polish removable appliances.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Education: certificate from an accredited dental assistant program
• Experience: 1-2 years or more of related experience preferred
• Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)
