Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to serve clients in the Vancouver area. Join a growing team delivering in-home care and companionship for seniors and adults needing a helping hand.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs/IADLs under a health care team, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe home environment. A valid HCA certificate with BC registry is required, plus CPR/First Aid and a background check.

Qualifications

• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check is required.

• Assist in the delivery of client care and home support under the direction of the health care team.
• Observe and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping, laundry, etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings.

As a Caregiveryou will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
