Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority in Halifax is seeking a Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced to join the Cardiac Electrodiagnostic Unit. The role performs site-wide electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing, contributing to patient diagnosis and care.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • Current BLS(HCP) certification
  • Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform site-wide electrocardiograms
  • Ambulatory monitoring (Holter/Event Monitor) preliminary reporting
  • Assist physician-assisted exercise tolerance testing (stress testing)

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced evaluates and assists in the diagnosis of patients’ cardiac status through a variety of noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include preparing patients for and performing site-wide electrocardiograms, signal-averaged electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring (Holter/Event Monitor preliminary reporting), and physician-assisted exercise tolerance testing (stress testing). The Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced also provides preceptorship and mentorship to new learners within the department.

About You

Hours
  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
Compensation and Benefits

$32.48 - $36.65 hourly
