Our client, a prominent leader in the Building Control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team around the South Coast. This is a permanent role where you will be providing essential support on various projects, primarily focused on residential schemes with opportunities to work on commercial projects as well.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and codes
2. Review plans and specifications for building control
3. Produce detailed inspection reports, highlighting any issues or areas of non-compliance
4. Advise project teams on regulatory requirements and potential risks
5. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
6. Ensure timely inspections and reporting to keep projects on track
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building control regulations and best practices

Requirements:

• Registration as a Building Inspector 2a or above
• Extensive experience in building control within the HTP sector
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to various project sites in and around Swindon
