Job summary

Canadian Industries Limited (CIL) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across Alberta, leading and supporting the sales team, developing new business opportunities, and growing existing customer accounts. This hybrid role requires regular in-office presence in Edmonton or Calgary, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in paint/coatings/materials.
  • Proven track record driving regional sales growth and managing key accounts.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM to manage accounts, pipeline, forecasting, and interactions.
  • Strong leadership to guide and develop a regional sales team with accountability for performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI.

Job description

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and performance across the Alberta region. You will lead and support the sales team, develop new business opportunities, and grow and maintain existing customer accounts. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and end users will be essential to success in this role.

You will develop and execute regional sales strategies, identify opportunities for growth, and promote the company’s products and services to new and existing customers. This is a hybrid role, requiring a regular in-office presence in either Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic sales plans to drive sustainable, profitable growth and expand market share.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen the sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities and improving conversion rates throughout the customer journey.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support by fostering strong client relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Oversee sales operations and performance to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets while aligning with business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of sales representatives through ongoing mentorship, performance management, and professional development initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, with 8+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the paint, coatings, materials, or related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing customer relationships across a regional territory, including key accounts and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in territory management, business development, account management, and sales strategy, with a demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Hands-on experience using Salesforce CRM to manage customer accounts, sales opportunities, pipeline activity, forecasting, and customer interactions.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and support sales teams while maintaining accountability for regional performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and PowerBI
