Job summary

Optima Living in Canada is seeking a Regional Manager, Infrastructure and Capital Improvements to lead maintenance and capital asset strategies across several communities. You will drive safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in asset management while coaching Regional Managers of Maintenance and Capital Assets.

The role requires 5+ years in leadership within maintenance/asset management and a collaborative approach with operations, facilities, and transportation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Hands-on construction or trades experience is a plus.
• Proven maintenance and capital asset management leadership experience (5+ years).
• Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations and capital asset planning.
• Develop, coach, and mentor regional maintenance and capital asset leaders.
• Plan long-term capital asset acquisition, replacements, and budget for projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for safety and environment.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
• Provide data-driven reports on asset conditions and spending.
• Develop training programs for site maintenance leads and teams.
• Lead commissioning of new sites and integrate assets into strategy.
• Oversee bus maintenance and operations for regional fleets.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
