Job description

Regional Leasing Agent
Location: Ottawa and Surrounding Areas, Ontario
About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated, sales-driven Regional Leasing Agent to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in real estate, residential leasing, or sales who enjoys building relationships, closing deals, and working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

This is not your typical 9-to-5 role. No two days are the same! From touring prospective tenants through our properties to following up on leads, building relationships, and signing leases, you will play a key role in driving leasing success across multiple residential communities.

The successful candidate will travel between properties in Kanata, Barrhaven, Smiths Falls, Renfrew, and Carleton Place.

If you are personable, self-motivated, and driven by results, this is an excellent opportunity to build your earnings through an uncapped commission structure.

Compensation: $60,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions, with average additional annual commission earnings of approximately $60,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed leasing targets and sales performance expectations.
  • Conduct property tours and showcase available apartments, building amenities, and community features.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries, proactively contact prospective tenants, and follow up consistently to convert leads into signed leases.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial inquiry and relationship-building through lease signing.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of renting and highlight the value proposition of each property.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and customer-focused experience throughout the leasing process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect information, lead activity, and follow-up notes in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
  • Complete leasing documentation and administrative tasks accurately and within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Leasing Manager and property management teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Attend promotional activities, property showcases, and industry events to generate leads and increase awareness of available rental opportunities.
  • Stay informed about rental market trends, competitor activity, and marketing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer engagement, and leasing performance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in real estate, residential leasing, property management, or a sales-focused role.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, follow up with prospects, overcome objections, and close sales.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Confidence conducting property tours and presenting products or services to prospective customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a target-driven environment where performance and results matter.
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are required.
  • Willingness to travel between properties in Kanata, Barrhaven, Smiths Falls, Renfrew, and Carleton Place.
Schedule and Work Environment
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, based on leasing activity and customer availability.
  • Regular travel between multiple properties is an essential part of the role.
  • A dynamic, hands-on environment where every day brings new opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits of Joining the Team
  • Competitive base salary: $60,000 annually.
  • Uncapped commission potential: Average additional annual earnings of approximately $60,000, with the opportunity to earn more based on performance.
  • Variety and independence: Work across multiple communities and take ownership of your sales pipeline.
  • Meaningful impact: Play a key role in helping prospective residents find their next home while contributing directly to the success of the business.
