Job summary

MoveSmart Rentals is seeking a Leasing Agent to conduct residential property showings, meet prospective tenants, and convert prospects into offers across Ontario.

This field-based role requires strong sales instincts, independence, and the ability to close deals using our leasing platform.

The compensation includes base salary plus commissions, with a 100% commission option for high performers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential leasing, real estate, property management, or commission-based sales.
• 3+ years of residential leasing or real estate sales preferred.
• Experience with single-family homes, townhomes, and condos is strongly preferred.
• Strong sales, objection-handling, and closing skills.
• Confident asking prospects to take the next step.
• Comfortable working independently and making field decisions.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, apps, social media, and digital leasing tools.
• Experience with Facebook Marketplace, property photography, and short-form video is an asset.
• Reliable vehicle required.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends based on showing demand.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rental marketing through Facebook Marketplace and other digital platforms.
• Maintain accurate showing and prospect information within company systems.

About The Role

MoveSmart Rentals is hiring a Leasing Agent to conduct residential property showings and convert interested prospects into offers.

This is a field-based, sales-focused role. You will travel between properties, prepare them for showings, meet prospective tenants, present properties, handle objections, and help interested prospects move forward.

We are looking for someone with strong sales and closing instincts, not simply someone who can conduct a tour.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of relevant experience in residential leasing, real estate, property management, or commission-based sales.
• 3+ years of residential leasing or real estate sales experience preferred.
• Experience with single-family homes, townhomes, and individually owned condos is strongly preferred.
• Strong sales, objection-handling, and closing skills.

Compensation

We offer two compensation structures:

Base + Commission

C$55,000–C$70,000 annual base salary plus performance-based commission, depending on performance.

100% Commission – Uncapped Earning Potential

A performance-driven option for Leasing Agents who want their income directly tied to their results.

There is no cap on earning potential, allowing high-performing agents to earn significantly more as their leasing volume increases.
