Job description

  • $120,000 - $150,000 / year + Bonus Potential
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose), San Diego, Denver, Salt Lake City, or Seattle
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time including overnight extended stays.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and meet airport security requirements.

Join our dynamic team as a Regional HR Business Partner, working closely with senior operations teams to ensure the effective execution of people processes at designated airports. Your primary focus will be on managing union-related activities and ensuring compliance with employment laws across your assigned locations. You will provide comprehensive HR support across various functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and training, while collaborating with support center teams to deliver high-quality people services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all union-related activities and ensure adherence to grievance and disciplinary policies.
  • Monitor and update employment laws and mandates, ensuring compliance across all locations.
  • Manage key HR functions including employee relations, health and safety, compensation, and training.
  • Develop and deliver effective internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Experience in facilitation/delivery of training modules.
  • Investigate and resolve complex employee issues, ensuring fairness and consistency in all HR processes.
  • Participate in collective bargaining, contract administration, and union activities.
  • Coach and mentor managers on performance management and talent development initiatives.
  • Ensure meticulous recordkeeping and data integrity to support timely decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR Business Partner experience in a corporate setting, preferably in hospitality, food service, or the airport industry required.
  • Must have experience participating in collective bargaining activities, including contract administration, grievance responses, arbitration preparation, negotiation preparation, and strike contingency planning.
  • Proficient in US labor and employment laws; Canadian expertise is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to work and travel approximately 50% within the US and Canada.
