Job summary

The Government of the Northwest Territories seeks a Regional Senior Manager to provide strategic direction and leadership for Yellowknife operations. You will guide the integrated delivery of wildlife management, conservation, climate change, forest and wildfire management, and land administration at regional and community levels.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Natural Resources or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' experience with 3 years in a management capacity overseeing resources.
• Strong leadership and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of Indigenous rights and northern land and resource issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for North Slave Regional Operations.
• Oversee wildlife management, conservation, climate change, forest and wildfire management, and land administration.
• Develop strategies and plans for integrated service delivery at regional and community levels.
