A leading non-profit organization seeks a Regional Community Manager to engage with donors and volunteers across Alberta. Overview:
Reporting to the VP, Fund Development, the Regional Community Manager will be responsible for building, growing, and managing a vibrant community of donors, volunteers and stakeholders for Liver Canada throughout Alberta. This role involves developing and implementing community engagement strategies, fostering relationships with supporters, volunteers, and partners, and raising awareness of the charity's mission and impact. The Regional Community Manager will work to increase community engagement, drive fundraising revenue and build and maintain key relationships throughout the Alberta province.This role is entirely remote requiring the candidate is able to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement Strategy: Develop and implement regional community engagement strategies aligned with Liver Canada’s overall goals and objectives. This includes identifying target audiences, defining key messaging, and providing regional content for social media, email, events, and more. Manage and lead events, such as the Spring for Daisies, LIVERight Health Forums, Move for Liver, Golf Tournament and LIVERight Gala. Recruit, manage, coach and engage volunteers. Manage and attend health fairs, health promotion events and deliver presentations. Build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, volunteers and the community at large. Assist third party event organizers with their community outreach needs.
Revenue Generation: Support fundraising efforts by promoting campaigns, engaging with donors, and assisting with fundraising events. Manage foundations and sponsorship proposals, prospecting and applications, including maintaining detailed records of all donor (including major donors) contact, history and moves management; ensures timely and personal appreciation and recognition is completed. Manage the development of annual regional fundraising plans.
Data Analysis: Analyze community metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Track and report on community engagement metrics, including member growth, activity levels, and sentiment. Gather and analyze feedback from the community to inform marketing and fund development.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, fundraising, and program staff, to ensure consistent messaging and support for community initiatives. Work closely with marketing and fund development teams to address the community’s feedback and needs and ensure all regional activities align with National objectives.
Compliance: Develop and enforce community guidelines to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all volunteers and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations related to the region and best practices for fundraising and data privacy.
Donor Administration: Provide status reports, post-event reports and recommendations for improvement.Prepare month-end financial reports.Maintain Raiser’s Edge CRM database (training will be provided). Other duties as assigned and appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
•Minimum 5 years of non-profit charitable sector experience with event planning experience is an asset
•Marketing and communication experience is preferred.
•Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
•Ability to work independently is imperative.
•Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
•Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
•Detail oriented and able to accurately proofread marketing materials.
