Job summary

Providence Health Care seeks a Regional Clinical Engineer to support hospital-wide medical device management across the Lower Mainland. You will collaborate with clinical, operational and technical teams on incident investigations, device alerts, risk assessments and capital projects to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science with a focus in Biomedical Engineering plus three to five years' recent engineering/technical experience in a hospital environment.
• Current registration or eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning and management of service deliverables for designated areas within the department.
• Participates in development and revision of policies and protocols for safe use and technical support of medical equipment, including safety tests and staff training as required.
• Communicates with medical, nursing and administrative leaders on technical matters related to medical equipment in clinical practice.
