Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright for our aggregates site in Calgary. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot and optimize mechanical operations, including crushers, conveyors, screens and pumps, to maximize uptime in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, install and align equipment, and participate in continuous improvements while adhering to safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyperson Red Seal Millwright with 5+ years' experience; equivalent industrial mechanical experience considered.
• Proven experience maintaining rotating equipment, conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps and gearboxes; welding, fabrication and rigging skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment including crushers, screens, belts and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, diagnose issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, align and commission new or relocated equipment using schematics and manuals.
• Light welding, cutting and basic fabrication for repairs/modifications.
• Operate hoisting, rigging and lifting equipment safely.
• Complete scheduled PM tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Support plant shutdowns, overhauls and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, confined space and PPE protocols.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize work.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, health and environmental policies.
