Job summary

Okotoks GM in Okotoks, Alberta, part of the Kaizen Automotive Group, seeks an Automotive Red Seal Journeyman Technician. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles to OEM standards, collaborating with Service Advisors and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Technician or equivalent provincial certification.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.
• Experience with OEM repair systems and dealership environments is preferred.
• Ability to use OEM diagnostic tools and modern repair technologies with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles following OEM guidelines and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, identify repair needs, and provide documentation for repair orders.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using OEM equipment.
• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with OEM requirements and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate repair needs, timelines, and findings.
• Road test vehicles as necessary to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace in line with dealership standards.
• Participate in OEM training, certification programs, and professional development.
• Follow dealership processes including parts handling, workflows, and safety protocols.
• Mentor apprentices or junior technicians as assigned by leadership.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.
