Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic/Technician for a contract role in Edmonton, Canada. You will diagnose repair needs and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment, while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, maintaining accurate work orders and supporting apprentices on the shop floor. Red Seal is required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a recent abstract.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and sustainability standards.
• Diagnose repair needs for construction equipment and trucks.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Conduct preventive and service maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Prepare and submit work orders, parts orders and warranty information.
