Job summary

Fountain Tire Vulcan is seeking a skilled Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency, including wheel alignments and scheduled maintenance across a variety of vehicles.

Ideal candidates hold a Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade with strong automotive knowledge, good communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be a Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
• Diagnostic expertise and keeping up with modern technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle.
• Perform appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete wheel alignments on a variety of vehicles.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advise customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
• Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries.
