YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Recruitment & Onboarding Advisor is primarily responsible for recruitment and onboarding activities, with additional support for employee engagement, offboarding, and People & Communications (P&C) administrative functions. The role focuses on continuous improvement, delivering an elevated employee experience, and implementing innovative programs aligned with KSPC’s strategic goals. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruitment Program - 50%:
- Leads full-cycle recruitment across all organizational levels, including sourcing candidates, advertising, screening resumes, pre-screening, interviews, employment offers, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Builds networks to source passive candidates and develops innovative sourcing strategies aligned with I+D targets.
- Maintains a pipeline of diverse candidates and keeps in touch for future roles.
- Analyzes recruitment trends and metrics to recommend evidence-based hiring strategies and address gaps proactively.
- Collaborates with operations teams to report on hiring status and staffing needs.
- Enhances the candidate experience and promotes the EVP throughout the recruitment process.
- Develops partnerships with educational institutions by attending career fairs and recruitment events.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the applicant tracking system.
- Builds relationships with hiring leaders and trains them on best practices and inclusive hiring practices.
Student Recruitment Program - 20%:
- Owns the student recruitment program entirely.
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of diverse student candidates.
- Performs initial screening and shortlisting of candidates.
- Ensures a positive employee experience during recruitment.
- Supports partnerships with educational institutions through career fairs and events.
- Builds relationships with hiring leaders and trains them on best practices, including inclusivity, related to the student program.
Onboarding Program Administration & Oversight - 25%:
- Coordinates and facilitates onboarding for new hires for a seamless transition.
- Leads new employee orientation sessions.
- Ensures new employees feel supported, informed, and connected, fostering belonging from the start.
- Seeks process improvements based on stakeholder feedback to enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborates with P&C and department leads to meet standards, paperwork, training, and compliance requirements.
General Administration & Support - 5%:
- Maintains P&C records, employee files, HRIS data, and manages document scanning into SAP.
- Assists with employee and community engagement activities.
- Continuously seeks process improvements to enhance the employee experience.
- Supports initiatives promoting Inclusion and Diversity (I&D), acting as a champion for these values to foster an inclusive workplace.
YOUR PROFILE
Our company values diversity and encourages candidates with a relevant combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources.
- CPHR designation is an asset.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on full-cycle recruitment preferred. Experience in the industrial or mining sector is advantageous.
- Experience with inclusive hiring practices and candidate sourcing strategies.
- Comfort with data analysis and reporting recruitment KPIs.
- Experience in promoting the organization at career fairs, on social media, and via internal campaigns.
- Motivated to grow in business administration and HR principles.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, proactive initiative, and multi-tasking skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with privacy laws and policies.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment checks, which may include criminal record, education verification, fitness evaluation, and drug testing.
This is a term position extending until approximately June 30, 2026.
