DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Build relationships and create strong communication channels with project staff and hiring managers across the company.
  2. Streamline onboarding processes, ensuring quality candidates are hired to reduce turnover.
  3. Source qualified candidates for open positions through appropriate job boards and referrals.
  4. Handle employee hiring, onboarding, training, termination, and record maintenance.
  5. Develop, administer, and ensure compliance with Human Resource policies.
  6. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales, and competency appraisal measures and systems.
  7. Address and resolve problems brought forward by employees.
  8. Compile statistical data related to various human resources areas such as orientation numbers, training, and turnover.
  9. Prepare and produce various reports as requested.
  10. Participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities.
  11. The Human Resources Generalist I reports to and takes direction from the Director, Workforce Solutions.
PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
  1. Understand the importance of teamwork to achieve common goals.
  2. Complete assigned tasks on time and consistently achieve results.
  3. Work is closely supervised.
  4. Explain facts, policies, and practices related to the job area.
  5. Experience with applicant tracking databases, ERP systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Minimum 1-3 years of technical recruitment experience.
  2. Post-secondary education in human resources or a related field is preferred.
