The Technical Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle technical recruitment across North America, including building a strong pipeline, identifying qualified candidates, and successfully filling assigned technical roles in a timely manner. This role will build strong relationships with business units to understand department and resourcing needs, supporting Smile’s business goals and objectives.

This is a remote opportunity!

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Drive full-cycle recruitment for assigned technical roles within the organization.
  2. Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their business needs and objectives, ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  3. Proactively identify and attract passive candidates using all available tools, including social media, networking, and external job advertisements.
  4. Conduct detailed interviews, documenting questions and answers to assess competencies, skills, and qualifications.
  5. Maintain proactive communication with hiring managers and the Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager regarding open roles.
  6. Conduct intake sessions with Hiring Managers before searches to validate needs and identify qualified candidates.
  7. Identify challenges or roadblocks in generating pipelines or closing positions.
  8. Present pre-screened candidates with profiles and recommendations to hiring managers.
  9. Collaborate with talent acquisition managers and hiring managers to assess current and future hiring needs.
  10. Stay updated on labour market trends in North America.
  11. Participate in HR projects to expand skills and knowledge.
  12. Comply with privacy, security, and confidentiality policies.
Prerequisites
  1. 5+ years of full-cycle technical talent acquisition experience in a rapid-growth environment.
  2. Excellent interviewing skills to effectively probe technical knowledge.
  3. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  4. Strong communication skills to build trusted relationships.
  5. Experience recruiting for highly technical and complex roles in the US and Canada.
  6. Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
