Job description

You're not just filling roles. You're helping drive the business forward.

As a Recruiter at Ledcor, you'll bring a proactive, sourcing-first mindset to every search. You'll lead full-cycle recruitment across both high-volume craft and salaried roles, with a strong focus on identifying, engaging, and converting top talent in a highly competitive labour market.

This is not a reactive recruiting role. Success comes from building talent pipelines ahead of demand, uncovering talent others overlook, and creating hiring momentum before a requisition even opens.

Working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment, you'll use advanced sourcing strategies, market intelligence, and targeted outreach to build qualified talent pools for critical roles. Your ability to map talent markets, engage passive candidates, and develop strong candidate relationships will be key to your success.

You'll partner closely with Business HR and hiring leaders to understand workforce priorities, role requirements, and future talent needs. Bringing market insights and recruitment expertise, you'll develop targeted hiring strategies, build high-quality pipelines, and execute against hiring plans that support business objectives.

This is a role for a recruiter who takes ownership, moves with urgency, stays ahead of hiring demand, and knows how to balance speed with quality. You'll act as a trusted talent advisor, helping leaders make informed hiring decisions while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage the external labour market to identify, attract, and build relationships with high-quality talent.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that build strong talent pipelines for both high-volume craft and salaried positions.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and sourcing through offer and hire, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring leader experience.
  • Partner with hiring leaders and Business HR to understand workforce plans, hiring priorities, and future talent needs.
  • Provide market intelligence and talent insights to influence hiring strategies and support business decision‑making.
  • Assess candidates for skills, experience, and long‑term alignment with role requirements, team dynamics, and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain talent pools that support current hiring needs while building readiness for future demand.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment activity, reporting, and compliance documentation within Workday while driving hiring momentum and process excellence.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring talent across both skilled trades/craft and salaried roles.
  • Strong sourcing expertise, including experience leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping, networking, referrals, and other proactive recruiting strategies.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced behavioural interviewing, candidate assessment, and selection skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align recruitment strategies to workforce and operational needs.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Work Conditions
  • Hybrid work environment with up to 3 days per week in the office.
  • Occasional travel required.
