Job summary

The Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) at AgeCare SkyPointe in Calgary, AB supports planned and spontaneous recreation to boost residents’ engagement and well-being. This 0.8 FTE, part-time temporary role focuses on delivering meaningful activities and maintaining vital therapeutic records.

You will contribute to program evaluation, ensure supplies are well maintained, and work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with expected completion within 3 years.
  • Experience in healthcare or long-term care is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Must provide Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check or willingness.

## Recreation Therapy Aide - AgeCare SkyPointeApply: Calgary, Alberta, Canada: Part time: Posted Yesterday: End Date: October 10, 2026 (7 days left to apply): R26\\_06997**Work Location: Skypointe** **Address: 179 Skyview Circle NE** **FTE: 0.8 Part-time** **Employment Type: Temporary** **The Opportunity** The Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) supports the delivery of both planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities that promote residents’ engagement, independence, and overall well-being.
