Job summary

Extendicare Manitoba invites applications for a Recreation Manager at Hillcrest Place in Brandon, MB. This full-time role leads a team to design and deliver meaningful, person-centered activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.

Responsibilities include supervising recreation staff and volunteers, managing budgets, planning programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A passion for senior care and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation.
• Minimum one year experience in health care setting.
• Minimum two years’ experience in program planning, implementation, documentation and evaluation in a senior’s care setting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Activity Pro, Point Click Care, RAI-MDS and care planning is an asset.
• Passion and focus on the person centered approach and working with seniors.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months).
