Job summary

Maples Personal Care Home, part of Extendicare, is seeking a Receptionist to support the front desk at 500 Mandalay Drive, Winnipeg. This on-site, part-time role includes answering calls, greeting visitors, managing mail, and scheduling meetings while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Prior receptionist experience is an asset in a supportive, mission-driven team.

• Above average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in reception is considered an asset.
• Must exhibit professional and polished telephone manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Highly organized and detail focused.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail)

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a positive, professional manner.
• Redirect calls and take clear messages when required.
• Greet, assist and direct all visitors.
• Sort and pick up internal/outgoing mail and manage mail machine.
• Prepare packages and arrange courier pick up.
• Arrange meeting room schedules and bookings.
• Update phone and distribution lists.
• Maintain a clean, safe reception area.
