Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks Recreation Attendants to warmly greet members and guide them through facility entry, registrations, and payments using PSP software.

You will help ensure safety and act as the front line for member relations, addressing questions daily and supporting growth within PSP.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with some years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid qualifications.
  • Experience in cash handling and sales.
  • Experience using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct all members as they enter the facility.
  • Process registrations and payments using PSP software.
  • Ensure safety of the facility and members.

THE ROLE

Our Recreation Attendants are the friendly face of our organization; you are the first person to greet our members as they walk in to our facilities and often the link between the members and all other areas within PSP.You will be responsible for greeting and directing all members as they enter the facility, using PSP software to process registrations and payments, and ensuring safety of the facility and members.This role comes with daily opportunities and challenges for our Recreation Attendants, can you rise to the occasion? Each day members will arrive with questions or problems and it will require a Recreation Attendant use initiative to respond.This position is a great introduction to PSP with potential for growth and development. Our Recreation Attendants are the front line of PSP member relations and truly meet the needs of our members and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and LicensesHigh school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field (OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered)Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications.ExperienceIn cash handling and sales In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsingCompetenciesClient focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
