Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Recreation and Gym Services Assistant to support on-site operations and member services. You will handle counter inquiries, process memberships, and manage daily cash and records in a busy gym and recreation environment.

Under supervision, you will book facilities and programs using a data management system and assist with administrative tasks to support the military community’s wellness needs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and several years in a related field.
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
  • A valid driver’s license - Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counter service, membership sales, typing and filing.
  • Clear military personnel in and out and maintain cash floats.
  • Use data management to book facilities and programs.

THE ROLE

Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.

Under the supervision of Front Desk Gym Supervisor, the Recreation and Gym Services Assistant provides counter service such as answering customer inquiries, membership sales, typing correspondence, filing and clearing military personnel in and out. They maintain cash floats and daily sales records. They use a data management program to book facilities and programs

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
  • High School Diploma AND several years of experience in a related field
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
  • A valid driver’s license - Ontario
Experience
  • In cash handling
  • In office administration
Competencies
