Job summary

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for aRecovery Representativebased inCanada.

This fully remote role supports customers with past-due accounts by providing practical payment solutions and recovery options.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor while helping reduce credit losses and resolve complex account situations professionally.
The position covers a range of recovery activities, including delinquent accounts, insurance tracking, bankruptcies, charged-off accounts, and total-loss processes.
You’ll collaborate with customers, dealers, insurance providers, collection agencies, and internal teams to move cases toward resolution.
Success requires sound judgment, strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive financial matters.
You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where initiative, accountability, and effective communication are essential.

Accountabilities

• Manage assigned recovery processes, which may include charged-off accounts, bankruptcies, total-loss cases, insurance tracking, and delinquent accounts.
• Communicate with insurance companies, research vehicle values, follow up on claims, evaluate offers, and provide customers with accurate information.
• Manage insurance tracking activities by reviewing accounts, obtaining required authorizations and waivers, preparing documentation, and securing applicable insurance policies.
• Work toward and achieve established monthly departmental performance targets.
• Support senior team members with communications and administrative activities related to bankruptcy and legal matters.
• Coordinate placements with third-party collection agencies and monitor agency performance and recovery results.
• Monitor high-risk accounts and act as a liaison between customers, dealers, insurance providers, and internal departments.
• Manage bankruptcy cases by filing appropriate claims and supporting decisions regarding asset repossession.
• Share best practices and process improvements with colleagues to strengthen team efficiency and consistency.
• Complete additional recovery and account-service responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial services, or 1–3 years of relevant progressive business experience with a demonstrated record of achieving results.
• Knowledge of applicable collection and asset-repossession laws is considered an asset.
• Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, is required to support customers and dealers nationwide.
• Strong decision-making, negotiation, planning, analytical, and strategic-thinking capabilities.
• Above-average interpersonal, written and verbal communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.
• Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-focused, and capable of contributing effectively as part of a team.
