Job summary

A leading foundation is seeking a Full-Time Recovery Coach in Calgary to provide vital support to residents while overseeing multiple recovery homes. The position requires a deep understanding of addiction issues, alongside strong communication and conflict resolution skills. This full-time role involves daily responsibilities including monitoring programs, processing applications, and engaging with the community to enhance recovery support. Director of Operations & Master’s Student in Counselling Psychology

Full-Time Recovery Coach / Support Worker – Monday to Friday

This posting is created to provide strong support to Oxford House residents in Calgary. The shift is Monday to Friday.

Please read the full description of the job. The Recovery Coach will oversee 3-4 Oxford House Recovery Homes.

Reporting to the Recovery Coach Supervisor, the Recovery Coach is responsible for :

  • Ensuring that Oxford House residents abide by the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Completing Recovery Coach Training.
  • Monitoring the overall effectiveness of our Recovery Coach Program in Calgary.
  • Informing the addiction community (agencies and individuals) about residency availability in Oxford House in and around Calgary.
  • Processing applications.
  • Screening and interviewing potential residents.
  • Referring residents for a second interview at an Oxford House for acceptance.
  • Compiling and entering all data into the FYI Database (Barc-10 Survey, Recovery Coach Sessions, Exit Surveys).

Requirements include :

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions and the ability to promote Oxford House in the community. Lived experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. FYI database training will be provided.
  • Competency in administering drug tests and handling samples.
  • Experience with rent collection and security deposits.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position is in person; remote work is not available.

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : From $55,000 per year
