About The Derrick Golf and Winter Club

The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is Edmonton’s most complete family oriented private club. Members of all ages and abilities enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, racquet sports, and a wide range of athletic and social activities year-round, all within a friendly, safe, and first class environment.

We are currently seeking a part-time Receptionist to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Reception Supervisor, the Receptionist is responsible for greeting, welcoming, and delivering exceptional customer service to members. The role includes answering calls and addressing questions and providing a welcoming environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greeting all incoming and departing members, guests, staff, vendors, contractors, etc.
  • Providing excellent member service in person/over the phone.
  • Maintaining/updating multiple spreadsheets.
  • Assisting members with GameTime and the Derrick website.
  • General office duties, laminating, copying, mail.
  • Putting together new membership & potential membership packages.
  • Making name tags, desk plates and ID/Access cards for all club employees.
  • Making necessary changes to member access.
  • Maintaining the locker inventory lists, lost & found, and advertising monitors using Canva.
  • Working with Telus Business Connect.
  • Commitment to high level of member service.
  • Other duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to time manage/multitask.
  • Knowledge of TELUS Business Connect.
  • Knowledge of Pitney Bows mailing system, Xerox, and other office equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic security camera operations.
  • Knowledge of Canva, use of USB and smart TV operations.
  • Understanding Jonas software and GameTime is an asset.
