Job summary

Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre in Vancouver, BC is hiring a Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. This full-time role requires 2+ years of front-desk experience in veterinary or human medicine, and a calm, professional manner with clients.

You will manage check-ins/outs, schedule appointments in our in-house system, handle calls and emails, and coordinate with medical teams. Proficiency with EMR, MS Office and Moneris is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of receptionist/front desk experience in human or veterinary medicine.
• Professional and calm demeanour when assisting clients with questions or sensitive information.
• Experience booking medical appointments and using scheduling systems for rebookings, new and urgent appointments.
• Strong knowledge of electronic medical records; training provided for in-house system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe).

• Experienced with booking medical appointments and locating schedules within the system for: rebooking patients, booking new appointments and urgent appointments
• Strong knowledge of electronic medical records; training is provided for our in-house system
• Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe)
• Previous knowledge of Moneris POS terminals is an asset
• Strong attention to detail & accuracy when recording and relaying information
